Janice waves goodbye to her husband as he leaves for a truffle hunting expedition in the furthest reaches of France. Janice hasn't had a good salmon-truffle soufflé since the end of the WWI and it had really just gotten too much to bare. Sure the food rations had stopped, but what was the point of salty-cracks without beluga caviar?
So it came to be that Janice threatened to kill herself, unless at least three, medium sized, full strength, French truffles were delivered to her by the next morning.
