Hello! I've been working hard behind the scenes and this is one of the things I've been working on. I was asked by Catarina Magazine to create a 'Fake Sarotiralist' image from one of their fashion shoots. I chose the fabulous image above by Paschoal Rodriguez (who has done covers for Vogue and Elle, Brazil, as well as South Africa's own Cape ETC).

I can't put up my final image until the magazine comes out, but I can put up the making of video! Once the magazine comes out, I'll post a picture of it and the edited image.

I just couldn't resist using this song for the video. It's from Die Antwoord's latest album $o$.
Die Antwoord has recently taken South Africa and the world by storm. Their authentically South African sound verges on pop and parody, so of course I find it fascinating.
For those more gental viewers out there (or listeners actually) there is strong language in the music accompanying this video that might make the meek out there wilt like a frail lilly on a summers day or Kate Moss in an over heated room. Fear not, the mute button is your friend.

Last year I gave a talk at Pecha Kucha, they pioneeded the 20x20 presentation format where 20 slides are played for 20 seconds on an automatic timer. It was fun doing the talk and I got a good reaction from the audience. The theme for the evening was: What is Beauty to You?

It isn't often that the traces of her former life become visible, but this winters day she just couldn't help cutting some holly leaves and sticking them in her hair just like the good old times.
