All this talk of the late great McQueen and his visionary fashion design has made me think of another visionary: T.S. Eliot. He like McQueen had a way with twisting what you already know. Reading any one of his poems is like reordering English in your mind, the combinations are so novel and vivid that you can almost smell the scenes he describes. I wonder what marvels he would have designed had he been a fashion designer...
